I have a 10 gallon tank with 5 neon tetras in it and was wondering if it would work out to add 3 male dwarf gouramis to it. The tank currently has four larger plastic plants, a plastic hollow log, and a sort of pillar thing in it. Thanks!

Wow, the would definatley not be a good idea. The males would likley fight to death, especially in that small of a tank. I would do 1 at the most.

Yeah, I wasn't quite sure because I couldn't find any sources stating the correct amount of fish to put together. I think I will just get one and then maybe get two more tetras. Would that work? Sorry i'm such a newbie.

I didn't even notice you were now to the forum, Welcome!!
Getting 1 dwarf gourami and 2 more neons would be perfect in my opinion.
Good Luck! thumbs2:
EDIT: Also, have you heard of "Cycling" an aquarium. If not I would take a look at the Ebook ([Only Registered Users Can See Links.]). Even if you have heard of cycling, the Ebook is full of tons of information, great for beginners!

Yes, I have heard of cycling. My tank has been up for a year now, with the tetras in it from almost the very start. I am looking to get some new fish because I recently had some guppies who died of old age. Thanks for all the help!:ssmile:

Definitely not to adding 3 dwarf gouramis.
I had 6 neons and a 1 dwarf flame gourami in a 10g without much issues, but wouldn't have dreamed of adding any more neons or gouramis.

Sounds good.
I've gone down the road of 1 Dwarf Gourami and a school of Neons before.
Usually works up well.
Six tetras is where I would draw the line.
