Im gonna shoot that new canister filter. Its the RESUN AE-800 for 200g.

Setting it up is a pain. How do you get the O-ring on? I know where it's supposed to go, but it doesnt fit there, and its the worst instructions ive seen in my life, and the instructions even say "for use in china only". Besides the O-ring being a pain, im having issues with the aquastop system. you need that silver switch that snaps in on the top with the 2 aquastop valves, and the darn valves wont go in if the silver switch thing is in.

If anyone knows how to do either the O-ring or the aquastop, please help. I wish this stupid thing had good instructions like the fluval rather than some chinese mumbo jumbo with a few english words

I saw a few of these being used on the 300g discus display tank and the 500g goldfish one, so i can take it to get the employees to fix it, but theyre closed and id have to wait til late tomorrow

sorry, i got it going.

The aquastop had to be connected to the switch, and i accidentally got 2 O-rings, one was already inserted.

Even thought the filter is meant for 200g and i have it on a 30g, im happy with the flow. Just the way the instructions were 90% in chinese and the pics were as big as thumbnails was discouraging

MAN, that was a pain. and the little english there was wasnt proper, like

"check O-ring. Make sure it not broken, make sure it work good" lol

The pics REALLY bombed. They were about 1" by 1". I needed a microscope to see what was happening

HAHA, I love those kind of instructions. I read them off out loud in this voice that sounds like a crazy angry chinese shop owner.

I can't believe it actually said "for use in china only".

and i had to find out how to attach the aquastop myself. I tried to look at the picture, and i was like WTF? and i couldnt even see it with a magnifying glass.

And when i still thought i had to insert the O-ring, it didnt say where. It had a picture of all the parts and said useless stuff like

A) Bio-balls
B) sponge
C) ceramic rings
D)O-ring

that didnt help me much

My Aquapod tank was the same way. Just said what came with the package, that's it. I had to go online and search out additonal documentation, which thank god I found in their *hidden* document section under their not easy to find support section.

LOL, that sounds like the same stuff that came with my tank, maybe the same person made the instructions.

i searched through all the search engines, and all that popped up was a site that had the filters for sale

You have more trouble with everything than anyone else on here. Are you sure you are ok upstairs? lol.
