hey everybody,

ok well i know the two standard answers are java moss and java fern but i was wondering if there are other alternatives...

i'm running a diy co2 system and have about 2wpg so i can grow almost anything (he says WAY overconfidently hahaha)

so any suggestions as my center large rock structure looks a little naked haha

thanks in advance for any suggestions

Java fern is nice and there are a couple different varieties. There is also anubias. It comes in different varieties too but is slower growing than java fern.

My current favorite aquatic "epiphyte" (for lack of a better word) is java fern 'trident'... still not very common, faster growing than the regular and definitely a different looking plant.

Others would be anubias, bolbitis, pelia, various rarer mosses (xmas, flame, willow, etc.)

Check aquaticmagic on e-bay if you can't find some elsewhere, they have a good variety of plants.
