Beta

Can you put a Beta in a Discus tank?

I have seen other fish mentioned but never a Beta.

Don't know relative to discus but my Beta did fine in my community tank which had angels, tetra's (4 different types), moonies, yo-yo's, gouramis, and some others. The beta ignored all of them and left them alone. Temp wise, discus run on the high side (min 82 and 90 when ill) and I believe (wrongly?) that Beta's like water cooler than discus. Also, Discus like salt, esp. if ill. These aspects would make me think that a Discus tank should only have discus (in their real streams, they coexist with hatchet fish and cardinals (or so I've heard.))
