I just bought 5 females and 2 males and put them in my new tank. They are spending about half they're time at the surface swimming around with their heads touching the surface. Is this normal? Its a 29 gallon tank and i have an air stone for aeration. tests are ok. just wondering if i should be worried about this

if theyre gulping for air, it could be parasites. is your tank cycled?

Right. New tank/old tank? How did you acclimate the new fish to the aquarium?

Its a new tank, thats been cycled, ammonia is at 0, i floated the bags, and then added small amounts of aquarium water a few times and then netted the fish and put them in the tank. today is the second day for them and they seem to be swimming around fine now, idk, i'll post more is anything strange happens

What the temp at? when my tank gets too hot, the fish gulp at the air like that.

its at 75, that shouldn't be the problem
