It can be kept with most fish and is suitabl for community aquariums as long as water values are ok. Can be aggressive towards similar looking fish.

I have one in the 55gal community tank, I know he will get too big eventually and he will be rehomed at that time, but for now he is happy and gets along with the bristlenose and the loach and cories on the bottom and doesn't mind the other fish, tetras, harlequins, platys, gouramis etc around him either. I have never seem him be aggressive to any other fish and he kind minds his own business.
My only advice is that sailfins can get huge, make sure you have room or a suitable home eventually for him to go to :)

Glyptoperichtys Gibbiceps L083 (sailfin pleco) are quite a peaceful sp. but do grow large. Most tankmates that enjoy the same water parameters will not be bothered.
