OK I now have 5, yes 5 RBTA's in my 54g reef. Fat and happy, anyone know a good, non-invasive way to make them release?

Try rubbing an ice cube at their foot or gently slidding a credit card under the foot too.

I've also read that pointing a powerhead at them will make them move...
I have about 14 now...:help:
The powerhead makes them move...but not release. The icecubes work, but I haven't gotten them to actually release either.
Haven't tried a credit card - scared to hurt them.
But this summer...I really need to get rid of a few...like 13 of them...

On another forum someone suggested selling the rock they are attached to. I might have to do that, rather than posssibly hurting them.
Yes. My LFS guy suggested that too. But in my case I'd have to sell ALL my rock at this point...not willing to do that...

Hmm, if you can make them move, have you tried putting a small rock beside them and trying to drive/herd them onto it? Hopefully you have a couple wee peices lying around...

ok this methods messy!!!! Ive had this problem with my carpet a few years ago. Realistically, if a mone is happy, he aint going to move!!!!
One way (and ive done this) is to chip the rock piece away hes attached to using a drill snall rock hammer and patience.. You do get your rock a bit messed up, but they release!!!
Mind you, i did this with 1, not 14 !!!
