Black ruby barbs

My ruby barbs are sparring again and the males colors are glowing. They are also chasing two of the females around. So I exspect them to start spawing soon. I have a hard time getting good pics from this tank, but did get a few today that I wanted to share.

This male lost an eye a couple of days after I got them. He recovered fine and is doing well.

Thanks everyone. The males normally show some stripes, but in thoses shots they were showing off to the girls. The females look a lot like tiger barbs. But they are not aggressive at all like the tiger barbs are. Thier biggest drawback is that they will eat some plants. They LOVE my lotus and ate the vals too. They leave the crypts alone and the hygro too. The will devower greens, their favorite seems to be the red lettuces from spring mix.
