I am wondering whether anyone out there know's whether fantails are more susceptible to dropsy, I've just lost my little guy this morning to dropsy, the other 3 goldies (incl my black moor) are all fine. About 3 years ago I had another really large fantail and she died of dropsy as well - it's really odd. I've had up's & downs with my water conditions in that tank due to heat and then my black moor was fighting fin rot/fungus, so perhaps this could've caused it, but the other 3 are fine & feeding well.
