HELP!! About a month ago my pleco's nostril (I think that's what it is) looked like it had a small pink balloon coming out of it. It settled down and now it's a brownish colour, the other side is clear and healthy but I'm not sure what this is, can anyone help?

I tried taking one with my camera but the damn glass kept reflecting back so it was no good. It's like his nostril is covered and there's a little black bubble on the end of it. His other one is clear and open.

really crappy idea of mine, but maybe CO2 bubbles? ive seen tanks with high CO2 levels cause cory's to get little bubbles on their skin.

Would C02 cause a block in his nostril - I have absolutely no idea on anything. It was pink about a month ago and I put epsom salts in the tank when i did one water change, it settled it down but today it looks blocked,ll try getting a clearer photo - but he's not a fan of the camera and I haven't figured out how to take clear photos of my fishtanks without reflection.
