Anyone experiment with hydroponics here?
I grow bonsai trees, and want to accelerate their growth. I'm thinking I could setup a simple hydroponic system with water flowing from my tank to feed it.
Was just wondering if anyone has played with this yet

i think i get your idea.
aquarium water is extremely good for plants. It gives them lots of good nutrients. a hydroponic system would be good for the trees

Actually I think I'm going to do seperate tanks. 1 big one for the fish, then another with the trees floating at the top where the water from the tank is pumped into.
Figure I will put the Nitrates to good use, and I rather feed bonsai with mostly water than any type of fertilizer.
I've already got a good light for the bonsai, so I'm solid on that.
So anyone do this kind of rig before?

Nope, but it would make a pretty sweet display. Plenty of pics please when finished.
