Hey,

I don't know whether this is good or bad. Well here it goes, I have a 20g tank with a bowfin in it. One day, I sat beside my tank I found out the tank is infested with worms which is attached to the sand and waving. Is it good or bad. Since my bowfin a bit big(30cm). It doesnt bother to eat the worms.
The good part is, the worms help me to break down the remaining food for nitrification. Then, my plant absorbs the product. My question is, are there side effects having these worms?:help:

I dont know how to post pic yet so I will explain. The worms are the one sold in the shops in balls and some sort like that. These worms would wave from the ball. By the way what makes the worms stick together?

sounds like blackworms, if so, they cause no problems and will actually help keep the substrate clean.

Try touching the tail with something, if it quickly retreats it's a blackworm. They have photo receptors in the tail, your fish can catch them after the lights go out.
