First off here is a photo of the Abalios when they arrived in mid Feb:

And here is a pic taken a few minutes ago with the dominant male...

These pics are all kind of dark due to insane water lettuce growth and only having 1 row of bulbs on this late at night, lol

I assume this one is female due to the lack of blue

Nice photos, Jenn. The color difference between males and females is huge. Both are very pretty, tho.

They are slowly transforming into the fish I expected them to be :11:

That's because of the unequaled care and attention that's being given to them every day and night. :ssmile:

Great looking fish Jenn! Amazing the color difference.

How's the hardscape in that tank looking?

Thanks, I wouldnt say my care is anything out of the ordinary for a nut...but they do eat well and enjoy clean well filtered water. The scape has finally came to a place of contentment for me...the Vals would grow if they were left rooted more than a few days at a time...I may replace them with some Crinum eventually. Id also like to add some more fern and anubias otherwise Im quite happy with it.

Gorgeous! I actually think they are kind of cute when they are little and not very colorful.

Edit: I'd also like to thank you for the information about the geos/gymogeos, it's good to hear from a person with experience :)

They did grow on me soon afterward, took them a good 2 weeks to not vanish when I went near the tank. But Ill take their looks now anyday over the past. NP, Im a fairly new keeper to the world of Geos myself...they are a fascinating genus of SAs tho :22:
