I started my first aquarium last december and everything was going pretty well until recently. About 2 months ago, a fish would die about every other day; I never figured out why... everything seemed fine. I moved almost a month ago and all remaining fish survived. I restocked the tank and everything was running smoothly until the past several days, the fish have been dieing. I've tested the water... ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10. The interesting thing is that during this entire time, I have not lost any of the 7 lemon tetras; if fact that is pretty much all I have left except for 1 or 2 danios.

Anyone have any ideas of what to do?

could it be your PH?

well, I thought that as a possibility. Before the move the Ph never changed, it was around 7.5. After the move the Ph was the same. I tested it again last night and the tap water is 7.5, but the tank water was around 8.0. Any ideas?

for the most part they have seemed fine one minute and the next time I look they are dead. Yesterday, I did notice that a couple weren't looking good and they were dead this morning.

Another thing that I did notice is that I think my heater is malfunctioning. The temp was up to 82 and it is set as low as it can go. I unplugged it and the temp is staying around 78.

I wish I could figure out what the problem is that is killing the fish. I am getting frustrated to the point where if I can't figure it out and fix it, I will just sell it all.
