Hi all!
Brett here, from N/W Washington state!
Anyhoo, first day here on the forum. Liking what I see! Lots of great info here!
About me?
22yr old male, engaged, aspiring park ranger, hotrodder, just getting back into the fish keeping hobby!
I had a tropical tank when I was young, mostly tetra's and the like.
We currently have the following tanks:
4ft long 40gallon coldwater tank (goldfish)
25 gallon semi-aggressive tropical tank (Tiger barbs and a red-tailed shark)
15 gallon tropical community tank (Silver tips tetra's and guppies)
10 gallon tank (quarantine/holding tank)
2.5 gallon mini-bow (guppy fry grow-out)
1 gallon hex tank (mini quarantine tank)
100 gallon outdoor pond (a few large goldfish 7+ inches)
Also, a newly acquired 30 gallon tank that will be become the larger community tropical tank, to fit more fish (peppered cory and possibly more tetras).
So far we're just keeping fish, no live plants, no shrimp, no snails, notta...
Our goal is to set the 30 gallon up with a custom hood and stand, and have that be your first tank with live plants.
All the goldfish we are keeping started out as small feeder fish, now most of which are 5-7" in length...Most of them will be given to family and friends for their ponds...of course a few of the cooler looking ones will stay with us!
