Hello all...

I'm new to the forum although I have "lurked" for a while. I've already seen TONS of great info here. Thanks to all in advance!!!

After 30+ years of being away from the aquarium hobby I recently began the process of setting up a 55 gallon tank. Once it's finished it's "cycling" and the chemistry is as close to correct as they ever get it'll be a fresh water community tank.

If this hobby is like any of the other I've taken on I suspect that I'll end up like many of the folks here with multiple tanks all themed differently. Fo now though all I have the space for is my 55.

I'm looking forward to a long a fruitful stay here at AC. I'll ask a lot of questions (most stupid... forgive me) and I'll chime in when the subject is something I actually know about.

THANX!
Jeff Hoak

Welcome to AC! I am sure you are going to really enjoy it here. There are alot of people here that have a ton of information. So I am sure you will enjoy it. I just want to say that there are no stupid questions in this world. If you honestly don't know the answer then it is good that you have the courage to ask.

Welcome!:thumb:

Welcome, we hope that you stay a while.

Don't ever be afraid to ask questions as there really is no such thing as a stupid question, and don't feel intimidated to jump into discussions as all are welcome.

About a hundred or so years ago I had an English professor who declared that "you don't have to know everything, in fact you don't have to know anything except... Where to find the answers". Good advice that I've taken to heart my entire life.

On the other hand at 19 I was sure that I knew everything but then I went to college and got drunk for about 3 years and forgot most of it...
