I'm looking for a good source of Endler's that aren't mixed with guppys or other related live bearing fish.
Anyone have a source they can point me to?
Thanks,
Jim

When I got endlers many years ago I got them from a seller on aquabid.com and they were pure strain. If you are in the states there are a few people who sell pure strains. Canada is a little more rare if you're there. Shipping is cheaper this time of year. Hope this helps some. :22:

I don't want to start a posting war here but endler's are guppies. They are the same species. How are you defining pure strain? All the serious endler's breeders that I know outcross to guppies every 10-15 generations as continued breeding of endler's can lead to some major morphological problems.
All things said however I would check Aquabid. There is also a guppy association here in New England that had a number of endler's breeder last time I checked that might be able to help you out. [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]

I have a 40 gallon tank that's so overcrowded with endler's I added a small Carapo knife fish to eat the fry. That was 3 weeks ago. I have seen a reduction in the number of tiny fry, but the knife fish has a looong way to go to make any significant impact on the overall population.
They're all pure endler's, black bar and peacock. I sell them for $10/dozen + shipping. One bag shipped Priority Mail is usually around $7, I can fit 3-4 bags into a medium flat-rate box for $11.
