I got everything done with the new 30g hex, and theres one thing, its REALLY tall. If i try to touch the bottom, the water level goes past my shoulders.

For filtration, ive got the largest aquaclear HOB. Should i be worried about not enough circulation at the bottom of the tank? Stockings gonna be 10 tetras, 8 corys, and 2 gouramis, and maybe i'll stick in a small pleco

You can buy tube extensions to make your intak reach down farther to get some circulation down there.

That's why I don't like them...lots of water...small footprint...look nice, but are rather useless...

I wouldn't be worried as long as your intake goes to the bottom...

...if it doesn't, I'd be tempted to add an airstone, just to keep things moving...

I do have a spare 6" diameter circular air stone. I think i should buy an extension, the intake only goes in the tank 1/5 of the way, and it should be 4/5. Never thought about adding a extension

What about a nice adding a nice Hydor Ario Colour air pump? It'll give you a bit of circulation on the bottom while adding a nice effect, I would think it would look pretty sweet in a tall tank like that. Place it in the center but off to the back behind a piece of driftwood.

You might need one of those deep tank air pumps for that much height too. Or point a powerhead downwards from the top.

Or get an Emperor 400. That thing has the longest uplift tube I've ever seen. I had to cut 6 inches off it to go in my tank. But instead of going with the extra cost if you don't need more circulation, the extensions would work great.

Angels love those tall tanks! But I get wet with my 21 inch high being the shortie that I am.

Enjoy that tank!!!!!!!!

Angels would have a WONDERFUL time in it! with all the height, they would go crazy However, im gonna go with my system of a top fish, the gouramis, the middle fish, the cardinals, and the bottom corys, and maybe a small pleco

Definitely go with an extension tube. Should solve the problem without adding more equipment.
