Modify, or New 280

We had to throw out the bio-wheel for our Marineland 200B Filter, so I'm trying to decided if I should just modify the filter with new media, or if I should go ahead and buy a new Emperor 280 filter.

I can't make up my mind. I like the cheapness of modifying the filter (and I get to pick exactly what goes into it), but I really like the look of the 280. I just cant make up my mind, so im looking for some opinions.

I've got an Aqua-Clear and I like them specifically for the fact that you can turn down the filter during feeding time so the small ones can get a bite to eat instead of unplugging the filter.

Thats just one good thing. They also have a great media design that is easy to customize and add too.
