Today I bought a 38g tank. This is tank #6. I also was going to buy a 10g Alones Lizard tank, but decided against it.
This is what I plan to stock in the tank
5 Ghost catfish
3 4" maxed size Pleco
Now I also was thinking of 4 Cory Catfish, But am really not sure what else to put in the tank? I was thinking of staying with the Catfish thing.

go with only 1 pleco. they get huge, and will need a larger tank quick

I don't want another Snail. Also besides the Fish I was thinking of a few shrimp, but not the ghost kind.

Since I have already decided Ghost Catfish and plecos I thought I would stay with the Catfish thing. Also a few Shrimp.

Dont you think a bottom feeder only tank would be kinda boring? Your tank though. If you had a huge tank, i would suggest a couple of blue/flathead/channel/bullhead cats, but we dont have that much to work with....darn. lol

Why do you say a Bottom feeder only tank. Pleco and Ghost Catfish are not bottom feeders. eaither are Shrimp. like I stated it is a 38g.

Correct me if im wrong, but shrimp are detritovores, no? That would make them a bottom feeder. I forgot about the plecos, but my rubber nosed is on the ground so much its hard to tell anymore.

drums right. thats basically a bottom feeder tank. Adding a few gouramis to the tank or 10 danios or tetras gives some wham to the top of the tank

Everytime I go into my local fish store the Ghost Catfish are never on the ground. The one Pleco I own Briselnose Pleco is never on the ground. If It is a botton feeder tank then a bottom feeder tank it is.
