What size tank?
Midas and red devils are effectively the same thing. Unless you know for a fact that they are pure bred or wild caught then you have to assume they are hybrids. They are two different species, but most of the captive ones are hybrids. Flowerhorns are a hybrid of a trimac and at least one other cichlid.

i have a spare 55 gall, i already have a 46 gall community tank, and a 55 gall with one oscar, so i wanted to keep something different, i like Jack Dempseys but i saw Midas cichlid in the lfs and thought it was so pretty, not sure what to do now though, maybe just have the JD by itself.

In a 55 you could have a breeding pair of JDs.
The oscar will outgrow the 55, it should be or end up in at least a 75.
