plants has a flower bud on it(please help my tank hasnt been in good shape recently)

I think ur talking about Anacharis. The bud is a good thing... it means its growing. Its not a flower. I always break the stem above the bud and replant it... As for leaves turning grey... it could mean its not getting enough nutriants/ Light/ Co2. But i find Anacharis is generally pretty hardy when it comes to tank conditions.

no i dont use fertilizer i am getting a light soon though

Well yeah, u wud need a light :). Anacharis grows very easily so u dont rly need ferts, but its always better to add ferts..
