I'm in the process of setting up a couple of 6-gallon tanks. Got each of them a bubble wand. Those @#$% bubble wands will stay attached to the side of the tank for a few hours, then the suction cups let go and the wand floats to the top. Can I bury them under the gravel or am I just out of luck?

The only time we have problems with bubble wands staying stuck is if there is algae or slimey coating on the glass or suction cups, but with you just setting these up there shouldn't be either yet. Maybe try buying some better suction cups or bubble wands. I have noticed there is a difference in other products, so maybe these wands just came with lousy suction cups.

I don't have a bubble wand but an airstone and it's just under the gravel far enough that you don't see the blue.
Works well here.

This one is like a long airstone with suction cups on each end. I'm going to try anchoring it with gravel/rock since the suction cups seem worthless.

I've had them and the suction cups get stiff after awhile and won't stick. I buried mine in the gravel but have since gone with airstones. Found them to be quicker.
I also notice the suction cups to the heater won't stick if near a bubble wand or airstone. The bubbles cause it to lose suction.
