Has anyone else had a betta that is absolutely infatuated with a snail? Freddy doesn't puff his gills at my black mystery, he just puts his nose on it and follows it all over the tank. He just looks at it, no flared out fins or anything. Robert tells me my betta fell in love with the snail, haha. I just wondered if anyone else has encountered this senario.

...could be looking for a snack or could be hanging out! I'm voting for hanging out...given that's what Mr. Plakat and the Six-pack seem to be doing...

This is why I think he's just hanging out, but he does it all the time until I come up to the tank and then he shows off for me. This is what he looks like all the time since he's gotten used to the snail being in there.

Pretty darn cool! As soon as my baby mystery snails get bigger I'm adding at least one to Fancy Wancy's tank!

bettas seem to be curious about anything that they don't find threatening. their curiousity can be amusing.

My Betta was absolutely fascinated with a couple of Julii Cory's I put in the tank last week. He was following them everywhere, and I was getting worried a little bit. I think my Betta was just curious, cos he's lost interest now.
