I was wondering if i could put anything in with my 2 barracudas. They are both 5 or 6 inches long and about 1 inch big. They are in a 25g long aquarum with a mountain shrimp, dwarf gourami, and a common 2 inch long pleco. I was wondering what i could put in with them since its a bit doll and my gourami's only freind is the pleco..(hes always with my pleco)

Ive searched around and found this guy( a Umbee Cichlid) could go in well, but i dont want to have to buy a 135g like they said i should

heres a pic of them :)

that plecos gonna get big, so i think it'd be a bit much to add more

They are already in too small of a tank. I would think a 55 would be sufficent, for now. Better a 75. Step up the size, and you could prolly get more cudas.

for now they are alright, i could fit atleast 10 of them all ligned up from one side to the other, they always hang around one side of the tank making the rest seem empty. plus i have to wait for a really good deal for a bigger aquarium.

Your 25 long is 50-60 inches long? sounds fishy to me.

If i had the money I definitly would, but even if i did my parents wont let me bring any more aquariums into this house because we ran out of place..we have 5 aquariums in my basement...thats why when my cudas outgrow my tank im probably going to have to sell it and do the same until i have nothing in my 25g. Then i move my res in there and use the 10g to make a small community tank ( more like 15 neons, 2 snails, a couple different snails, loads of plants)...but if they can wait like a year maybe i could find a place to put them...

Even a small step up would be great. Like a 30-40 long.

I was saving up for a 40 long, but then my mom thought she was getting a good deal from my lfs...They sold her a used 25g with a used and broken filter plus cheap rock substrate and a broken stand..for 100 bucks! Now i have to pay her back wich kinda pisses me off since i had found a 55 gall for 35 with a stand..oh well....Well see what i can do.

That was kinda a jip for the 25g. My used 33g was 40$ with iron stand, largest aquaclear, slate, gravel, heater, light, and air pump, and hood and light.

Sucks that the 55g offer came after for you. darnit! lol

I had a red tailed Barracuda for almost 2 years and it was only about 4". How fast do they grow?
