I've been using photobucket for years for storing pictures but lately I've seen several changes. However, I also recently started paying for my account there so I don't know if the changes are because photobucket has made changes or my account is just changed.

Avators? You can resize your pictures there to this size.....however, photobucket resizes for avators 100 x 75 which is still too large for this site, apparently. This site lists avators for 80 x 80 OR 19.5KB ...whichever is smaller. (For some reason, when I resize a picture to 80 x 80 it lists the KB at around 35) ???????

There used to be a setting under My Account for the size pictures would load to photobucket. I had my setting for 620 x 480. That setting is no longer there for me now. Can someone check their photobucket site and see if it is still available for them? I have to wonder if this option disappeared on paid accounts.

PS....If that option is still available for you, it's a good setting and pictures can be loaded into this site without any resizing needed and pictures are not throwing the margins off!!!!

I use photobucket, the free account for my pictures. Truthfully, I never noticed if there was an option to load pics to a certain size, but just looked and did not find anything under account options. I have always loaded them and then edited them. When I click on edit for a picture it gives me four sizes, unless the pic is already as small or smaller than the 4th option.

I checked - there is an option for 640x480. Set your screen size to 17" or more to get more size options for your photos. That should do it.

I think it must be that in paid accounts they are automatically set for that size then as I no longer have that option. It gives me only the 3 sizes....avator, email size and thumbnail size. Don't know where the larger option went but possible it's not available as they are already set to 640x480?

Thanks guys for responding.

I don't have a paid account, I just use the free photobucket.

Go to where you would start an upload. On the right half of the page, you'll see where it says upload to: (and the name of your album)

Just under that are 4 tabs, starting with images from my pc.

Just under those tabs, in really tiny letters, it says
max images size: (?) x (?) (options)

Click on options. Select 17" screen, and save.

That will give you options for larger sizes.

Hope this helps.

OH MY GAWD! Am I stupid or what? (don't answer) LOL

I thought I was losing my marbles and I guess I did. I have a 21 inch screen but set it to 17". They have changed things around on photobucket quite abit. I think that used to be in account options but now I'm not too sure.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

That's a great option and saves people from resizing.

If you have a 21" screen, maybe you should select the absolute highest size they have - the 1 Mb size - you might another larger option also. I'm sitting here with a 13" screen, so the 17" option is more than ample for me.
