View Full Version : Plant ID please, guys

I collected this plant from a small creek this afternoon. Im guessing its some species of nymphaea but I cant narrow it down more than that. Any ideas? There weren't any flowers on it. The water may have been slightly brackish

Looks like Nymphaea amazonum to me. Try that out.

Top larger leaf is Nymphaea puchella,bottom leaf looks like yours and is Nymphaea amazonum.

(The more I stare at them,the more I think they aren't the same. Figured I'd give it a try)

Ah man, no fair! So when you wrote in another post, "in Trinidad everything is imported and expensive", you were not counting tropical plants. lol
