Need help to determine what is going on with my Colisa lalia. After I introduced females to my tank the color on the male went real strong colors red and blue and created an bubble nest under filter bottom. After two weeks later now his color is changing in a spotty gold and black colors on his fins and body. What is going on he is starting to look like a female...
Help can someone help me diagnose this problem.

Replys greatly appreciated....

i think he's getting ready to mate. The bubble nest gives it away, and the color display can be him showing off his good genes. (in nature, its the males that have to look pretty!)

I believe he may have a form of velvet. Earlier he had done this now he is a recluse and comes out for food only. His colors look very splotchy and starting to take on a yellowish tinge with black specks. Does any one think it may be a form of velvet. Prior to this he had Ich one spot and was treated with Quick cure for 3 days and a massive water change.

velvet is what it may be. Velvet looks like gold rust, and is VERY spreadable. isolate him and treat him immediately.
