I have used GE silicone1 to glue up some slate pieces to make rock formations.
How long should I wait before they will be safe to put in my aquarium?
I'm setting up a new 55 gallon freshwater tank and I would like to have everything in the aquarium before I start my fishless cycle.
Thank you Rog

some people say just do a regular 24 hour cure, and some people say wait a week to be on the safe side. Id say wait 3 days

Agreed with the above, try 3-4 days to make sure it is done leaching.

Yeah, generally don't want your fish to have to deal with the chemicals.

Once it cures 100% it should be ok, 48 hours at least, if not 72. Rinse extremely well.

I'd read the label and add 24 hours to the full cure timespan it has just to be safe.
