Hi folks names Mick from Australia :22: I think i have problem with my Blue Acaras they have about 50 to 60 frys in my 50 liter tank and no other fish, the female keeps attacking the male is that normal or should i get the male out off there please if someone can tell me ASAP.Thank you

hello there wolf, and welcome to AC. I'm not a cichlid guy, but i would suggest taking the male out of there before he gets hurt bad.

Welcome Wolf. I agree with removing the male. That female will protect her fry even if it means killing that male.

Also, as soon as it looks like the momma has stopped protecting them, that might be a good time to take out as many as you can, return the male, and raise the fry separately. I think cichlid babies will eat brine shrimp, or just crushed flake.
