View Full Version : New Crowntail

Since Moose died I've had an empty tank staring at me. I knew I'd be getting a new fish soon so I left it running, and just had to decide between a betta and a dwarf puffer. I figured I'd go with another betta since they're so pretty, personable and pretty easy little fish for a dorm room.

His color is pretty neat. He's a very pale iridescent green and rosey pink, with slightly darker fins that change between green, red, and aquamarine. He has a nice little ginger patch on the top of his head, and a few perfectly colorless scales on one side.

I'm still thinking about a name, but I'm considering Witkin. If you have any input on names please help out. I'm going for some artist, writer, or something inspired by an artist/writer.

I've decided Witkin shall be his name. And I've attached a picture of him with his improved colors. I really wish I had a good camera to try and get some better colors. The phone camera just doesn't cut it for this little guy.
