i finally got my gold nugget ive been wanting. i placed him in my 75 on sat. night. he searched around on the glass for awile, then he found a big piece of driftwood and stayed there till sunday afternoon. then he moved to the back of the intake and hasent moved. i placed a piece of zuchini in over night and a new piece all day today, he didnt touch it.

should i worry about him not moving around the tank?

should i worry about him not eating the zuchini?

ive read every past post on gold nuggets here and another site.
i have frozen blood worms, beef heart, zuchini, cucumber and shrimp pellets.
this tank is lightly planted with driftwood and caves.

thank you all for your comments and advice.

How long was the pleco at the lfs before you got it? The critical point for gold nuggets is the symbiotic bacteria in their gut. If they're kept too long w/out food (usually in the distributor's tank/s) the bacteria die and the pleco will starve. It's best to get one that's been at the lfs for some time, and make sure it doesn't have a sunken belly.
If the pleco is healthy in general, it may just need some time to settle into the new tank.

I'd say just keep trying to feed him but don't disturb him too much. He probably just needs some time to get comfortable with the tank.
