My fish lays like this for some reason. He is the only one doing it. When I tap him with the net (to make sure he's not dead). He swims fine... Does this look like it could be tb or is this just something weird my fish does?

Im not sure if its tb, but you should quarantine just in case. I wouldnt tap him any more though.. if he's sick it will only stress him more. Your water looks a bit cloudy.. just did a water change by any chance?

No it's due to medication. I'm currently trying to get rid of ich. I don't have a quarantine tank. =(

I'm putting 5g of R/O water in it now to try to help.

The only reason I tap him is b/c I think he's dead. He seriously doesn't move ANY while in that position. All the other corys are always moving, playing in the current, or darting to the top.

He may be acting this way due to the medicines in the tank. Did he ever do this before treatment? What medicine are you treating with, what's the temperature of the tank, and what size is the tank? Cories are sometimes considered to be a sensitive species when you are doing medications and full dose of medication can cause them more stress.

He is a scaleless fish did you dose the ich meds following the instructions for those kinds of fish?

Yes, I have been using half doses. I first tried Quick Cure for 2 weeks but it didn't clear it up so I switched to Rid Ich. I have been doing 25% water changes every 3 days & 50% every 6. It only just started.

Is the temp higher?

Nope, I don't have a heater. The temp is around 78F. I know if I had a heater to put the temp up to around 88F. As soon as I get paid I will get one. I've just been hit by a bunch of random stuff lately that has emptied that bank account.

Anyone wanna buy me a heater? =P

Heaters are important for most tropical fish species in that even if where you live doesn't have the water temp drop much lower than what the fish tolerate there's always going to be raising and lowering of the temperature possibly much quicker than the fish would have experienced in the wild rivers and lakes. Heaters offer consistency. I have to set my heater in my oscar tank at 82 F because that's how warm it gets on summer days even without a heater so I just insure consistency overnight and through the winter.

I wonder if you've tried Mardel's Coppersafe for the ich?

Nope, haven't tried that. I'll probably buy a heater before anymore treatment though.
