I went in with the camera and could not find my gold nugget. There are a few areas in the tank he could hide, but today he has been in the left end of the tank where I can usually find him. Then I saw a little gold up by the filter, and look what I found. For some reason today he has been restless, for months now he has been hanging out in the right end of the tank under the large log, now it seems he is looking for a better spot.

Seems like he was just hanging out in the filter. Here is another pic I got of him after I scared him off the filter.

How cute is that! I notice my featherfins really like those bubbles, too.

I remember the big yoyo botia in that tank used to do that. Before I knew what it was I thought water was leaking from somewhere on the back of the tank. Then I saw him splashing trying to get up in there. If they just swim they can get up there. The pleco has the advantage of a sucker mouth he can use to grab on to the filter, whereas the yoyo just had to swim.

He sure is a beauty and his color is striking in the tank. He would have a hard time hiding with all that pretty color.
