Anyone have any idea what a 4 foot section of the kind of tanks they use in Wal-Mart would go for? It has 3 rows of 3 tanks per row and is a self contained unit. I found a used one for sale and I'm seriously thinking about making an offer but don't really know how much they go for or what they're worth. Any ideas?

hard to say, they are 30g longs and the system has a sump with UV.
I would go $300 and hope they needed money:hmm3grin2orange:

Yeah, I'm planning on starting low. They already told me they want it gone by the end of the month so I'm hoping they're a little desperate to get rid of it. I'm just looking for a starting point!

Go low, say something like 150, since its all worn used by walmart and would need cleaning. I want one of those setups super bad myself...people post single 50g here for 50 bucks,

Those are commercial tanks used for the retail industry and they're not cheap. You could expect to pay certainly over $1000 new. But yeah, start low, don't seem excited about it, look at it with a critical eye, then offer them a low starter.

A guy on my local reef club just sold one for $350. This one consisted of 9, 15ish gallon tanks but its the same concept, all plumbed together. He says they go for $4000 new
