Opaline/Marbled Gourami's... change color?

I was just wondering if it was possible for these gourami's to change color from time to time...

It seems as though most of the time it's a lighter color... and then when I did a water change due to an ich infection, it got darker... it also got darker when I first seen it in the store, and when I cleaned the tank once...

most often color changes are from stress. Some gouramis get a dark line under stress, and cichlids often get pale and lose any dark coloring

Cocoa has it right. I have a 55 corner bow front tank with gouramis, and they can change color easily when stressed.
