I've seen that tried before to help people overcome heat when overclocking. Interesting idea, but you won't be eBaying any of your old parts that way! I can see it now: "For sale, one used Abit AW9 motherboard, slightly greasy."

Nay, I would sell the whole computer/tank. I'm sure it would fetch a decent amount on Ebay, seeing as how it's just so cool :)

But what would you do if you wanted to update an old component?

Cool...but not cool enough to overcome the grease...

Just pull it out and put a new one in. As long as the contacts are snug and the mineral oil is squeezed out from between them, everything will work fine :)

Well right, but then what do you do with the old item?

Oh uh......I dunno. I think acetone removes mineral oil though? lol. Old components are usually trash anyways ;)

True that the old components are usually worthless, although I just recently sold an old Radeon AGP 9800 Pro for about $110! Crazy.

Ditto with the mild laxative funny, too. So if you've been sitting at your computer too long and can't go, just open up the case and have a sip?
