Last time i was at the beach me and my mates kept finding small octopus we were weary of them but they didnt bother us, this particular species i think only stays small, do you rekon keeping a small octopus with a body the size of a adult mans fist would be a bad idea?

Depends on the species. There are some very poisonous species of octupus found in Australia (they kill) and they are not that suitable for aquarium keeping.

well the one i found m not sure is poisonous, thanx for the article, i might just set up a small tank for one or two of the octopus and dec it out with rocks pipe and small caves and feed it on mosquito fish and baby yabbies or shrimp and see what happens, ill keep ya up to date

Just make sure you don't get biten. hurt as hell even if their not poisonous.

brown, a husky brown colour with the occassional black spot
and dont worry i have this fear of pan so i dont plan to get bitten
