Nice discus! And lol @ the koi picture. I would recommend you take the pictures in a dark room with only tank lighting though. The flash kinda screws up the view imo.

Looking good!

But, can i suggest a tip? When you take a picture, dont have it perpendicular to the glass. If you angle the camera, you wont get the flash in the picture. I find that i get the best picture results when i turn off every light except the tank light and dont use a flash.

I have tried taking pics many different ways. I need the light from the camera to show their colors best. When it is just from the tank the colors are washed out and some don't even show (such as the irridescence that is on many of the discus and peacocks). I try and get them at an angle, but sometimes the ones that come out the clearest are taken head on. I used to wait for the camera to beep which told me it had focussed on something (most of the time it was the wrong thing anyways), but now I just snap the pic when they are in the right position.

I have the same problem. Can't quite get that great shot I am always hoping for.
