Would have to say that is pretty awesome. Great photo's and nice assortment of fish. Question? Is nighttime lighting good for Fresh water fish. If so, would you use low wattage blue?:22: :fish:

I don't have "low lighting" per se, I just turned off half of the hoods lights. Blue would probably look really cool though!

Blue wouldn't photograph as well. There's just enough light in these photos to tell the real colors of the fish. Great camera work Mith. And beautiful fish.:18:

If you're talking about for fish health then I would venture that it's probably beneficial due to the mimic of a more natural environment.

For photo purposes I agree with Taurus. I have blue LED's (moonlights) on my tank and have made several attempts at pics with little success. Usually they turn out dark and grainy.....

Maybe if I add more LED's to the tank it would correct those photo problems, but with just 2 LED's it looks amazing in person. The whites and blues are both on timers.

Sorry for the delayed reply... I'm using a Canon Releb 450d XSI. It's an "entry level" camera (entry is subjective... I paid approx $800 for the camera with the battery/sim card). I've enjoyed it immensely.j Takes a bit of getting used to, but is not impossible to learn.

I use Corel Draw to "edit" my photos to get the color more accurate (as I'm sure most do when they're more serious about producing good photos).

I don't know much about cameras other than this camera's been very nice for me. thumbs2:

It all depends. I have a blue florescent that doesn't make the tank look very bright at all but I can still get pretty good pictures. Taking the picture in raw helps too though lol.
