I am going to have to replace the top of my 72g. bow front. The plastic rim on the glass. Does anyone know who sells them? And has anyone replace it? Is it a real job or what?
I would appreciate any help..
Thanks,
Jim

Lady Hobbs,
They do not have anything in replacement parts for a bowfront... A LFS told me that because of the water pressure on the front of the tank, those "rims" only last for ~5yrs.....Right now I am worried about my tank splitting and everything ending up on the floor... I REALLY hope someone has an idea..
Thanks,
Jim

Have you tried to contact the manufacturer? My bow front is 6-7 years old and I have a friend with a 100 gallon plus bow front that is well over ten years in use.

That is interesting, I really can't figure out why this is happening. I bought the tank used, but it had water in it two days before I bought it. I'll try to find out who made it....
Thanks,
Jim

Sorry about that. Didn't mean to give you a bum steer. As much as you read about broken rims around here, you'd think someone would be selling the darned things.
