Moss behaves like any other plant, yes?

When it has light, it sucks up CO2 and produces O2.
When it is in the dark, it sucks up O2 and produces CO2.

Correct?

Yes. The CO2 thing at night is way over rated, plants respirate at a much lower level than animals, no muscle to build and fuel and no internal heating system. They produce far more O2 than they use, hence the O2 in the atmosphere.

I thought I remembered as such.

Basically, I was explaining the process to a friend who had seen my aquariums for the first time, and I wanted to make sure that moss didn't do something wierd.

She was more interested in the moss than the actual fish, so I tried to think of interesting things to say about it, lol.
