My bettas won't eat! I have two females, one about an inch long and the other about 3/4 of an inch. I have had them for two days and the small one only 2 days, they're in a 2 and a 1/2 gallon aquarium, and I'm feeding them Aqueon Betta Food. I conditioned the water and washed the tank and decor, but not with soap! What's wrong with them?:scry:

Was the tank cycled before you put them in it?
Water parameters?
I do they'ren't know anything about Betas (other than they're beautiful).
Question, have they eaten at all since you got them? If not, they may just be acclimating to their new environment. I'm assuming that there are no obvious signs of sickness or injury.
Also, have you thought about trying a different food?
Hopefully someone who know about them can help you. I'm going to guess that they're just getting settled into their new tank.
Good luck!

Try crushing some fresh garlic in their food. That might stimulate them to eat.
If your tank is not cycled....keep up with daily water changes.

How about a status update? How much and how often are you feeding them?
Betta food is small, and they don't eat a lot. They may be eating when you are not looking, but normally they feed on the tiny pellets at the surface when you feed, later chase after the sinkers.
