Finally visited a REAL fish store

WOW! I didn't know what I was misssing! I stopped by a cool fish store with my son today and we were both amazed! He was running from tank to tanks saying, "Oooo, Mama look at this fish!" They had so many cool fish. I went there because I've decided not to ever buy from our local big box pet store again after seeing the sad condition of some of the fish they had there and getting a few TB fish from them. The topper was seeing a big White Cloud minnow swimming around with NO tail at all!

Anyway, I was shopping for another Betta and Aqua Tek had some beauties! I didn't buy one yet but I will when the time comes. The Bettas were each in their own CLEAN 1 quart glass jar - no blue water cups, not swimming in their own crap. It was so refreshing to see happy fish in a fish store. thumbs2: I know that sounds like a no-brainer but apparently PetSmart can not get that right, at least not the one near me.

Glad you found a fish store that has nice healthy fish...

...however, I'd rather buy a betta that had been medicated after shipping than not...they're very prone to fungal infections I've found...

I've never seen bettas in a glass jar. Thats cool

Good to see people finally moving away from the big retail giants :)

It's funny because a mom and pop store near me actually sells tanks/stands/supplies for less than the big retail stores. The fish are the same price, but in MUCH better condition than at Petco, etc.
