I'm going to be ordering some Anumbia's for the tank of fish that behave badly ( 55 gallon) but then I started thinking about scaping for the 20 gallon which isn't scaped at all at this point.

Since this task is really nothing more than a trial for the 55, I don't feel like spending a big wad of cash on plants, but I want to be able to split up whatever I buy between both tanks, if that makes any sense. A few Anubias for the 55, a few petite Anubias for the 20.

Since my 20 is long, would it look weird if I used drawf species of plants instead of full sized ones? The lighting on it can easily accomodate species like dwarf hairgrass, but I don't want the tank to end up looking like the land of little fish either. LOL

I think it could look very nice. Height wise a 20L is not very tall. Smaller plants will look good in there.

I think it would look great, actually. It was one of the ideas I had for a 20 long once I ever get one.

Smaller/dwarf plants, IMO, would look very nice in the 20long.

I concur, shorter "dwarf" style plants in a 20long will look better and be less maintenance.

I found a place locally that sells plants that is not a pet store, so I'll have to go see what they have. The last time we were there their tanks were a mess, so I may end up getting them from somewhere else instead anyway.

Thanks for the input.
