View Full Version : Woohoo! Found myself a light strip!
Well! Found myself a light strip for the 55g!!!
It's not the best fit...since I can't open the lid of the tank without moving it...
...but it's not hard to move and will do for now...
It's a 48" strip with two flourescent tubes in it...a couple of years old, but never used from what I can tell...
...$20...
They cost $80 new.

The versa-hoods are great for light strips. The back glass panel is a bit wider than the front panel making more room for lights.
Really? Good to know! I'll keep my eyes open! But it has to be a good deal! Thanks!
Agreed with the versa hoods. Very nice.
...and the bonus?! I can FINALLY see the fish properly! Esp. the Black Moor! Boy! He's cuter than I remember him being!
Ah yes, actually being able to SEE your fish is always a bonus!
...gotta luv it! thumbs2:

Cool! Isnt it amazing how we all find great deals?
Like just yesterday, i was going to sell someone a 22 gallon with an extra 18" lightstrip. Then i was going to buy 2 24" lightstrip with 18" bulbs from someone else...or so i thought. It turns out, both deals were with the same person. Neither of us knew untill i realized they were both named julie. So instead, we are just going to trade!
Funny how things work like that huh?

Living in the boonies has it's drawbacks, I don't find deals like that.

I'm with algenco. No deals. Nothing fancy at the LFS. Oh, no wait, that's not true. Last week they got in some bubble-eye goldfish. Great, just what I need. A mutant freakshow of a fish.
