I Have A Small Gold And White Fantail. Well I've Noticed In The Last Two To Three Days He Has Black Spots That Just Pop Up On Him From Head To Tail. Well Petsmart Told Me That He Could Be Adding More Color Since He Was Maturing. I've Had The Water Tested And Eveything Is Perfect He Shares A Twenty Gallon Tank With A Small Black Moor. But, What I Want To Know Is Petsmart Right About The Color Change .can Anyone Help Me?

Welcome to the forum, TN fishman. Hate to say it, but your tank is too small for the comet, which grow to 14 inches, while the moor will top out about five and a half.

The black tubercles aren't uncommon, and they can come and go on a goldfish (remember, gold fish are carps). Nothing to worry about.

i believe he should be allright, i believe petsmart its right.
Some of mine have done it, and just one day stopped and didnt grow anymore, so far at least, but they are fine. :22:
