Help ID-ing this Shrimp

I was wondering if someone could help me id-ing this shrimp. At the lfs it was labeled as a Rock Shrimp but when i look on google for info about it i just get alot of recipes of shrimps, and when I look on google a rock shrimp looks nothing to mine. But a mountain shrimp is exactly it. So i was starting to think it was a mountain shrimp(see below) but then on the site ( http://www.aquascape.co.uk/care.html ) its labeled as bamboo shrimp... So i was wondering if anyone knew this fish's scientific name, and if youve ever kept one if you wanted to give me a few tips, thanks.

I agree....looks like a bamboo shrimp too. That is the problem with common names, anyone can attach a common name to something. Also, with shrimp, alot of the species can crossbreed so it may be a mix.

hm, maybe..it looksl ike the one RobbieG showed me but mine also has this orange stripe on top and if you see on my picture ( first, blurry one) it has red things in its front, and none the bamboo or mountain shri mps have it..

I'm pretty sure its Bamboo for now..

Very intresting.

Its definetly not a wood/bamboo shrimp because thats a fan shrimp.
Looks like it has claws to me

It resembles Caridina japonica from the side markings.
Thats the Amano/algae eating shrimp.
It looks like a stressed Amano to me but I'm still not 100% on that.

The UK site states that it an native american shrimp.
That would be cool but I doubt that thats correct.

Very good algae eater but to my understanding only eats certain kinds of algae.
Also requires brackish water to hatch and raise shrimplets although in rare cases freshwater rearing has occured.
Seems the scientific name has been changed as well since I last researched them.

my first thought was its an amano shrimp.
