My gouramis mated again yesterday. I scooped out the whole bubbles nest into a 1g this afternoon. I made sure to get all the eggs, because it didn't look like there was very many. I came over to the computer around 10pm and the eggs had hatched. I now have about 800 dots with tails. I am going to whip up some fry food in the morning. It's really neat to see the fry wiggling around in the tank, it's really amazing how small they are. I know there won't be a high success rate. This is my first batch of gourami fry and i have never had any luck feeding fry this small. I tried to breed Bettas once, but didn't have any luck there either. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can at least keep some of these little guys alive.

I have a 2 10g's in reserve. I can imagine I will need more then that is they all make it. It'll have fish in every available container in my house, like betta's in cups.

Make that two of us. I need a good camera, like a canon digital rebel or something of the like.

That'd be hilarious, selling 800. You'll have the bathtub, and the next 8 neighbors tubs and sinks stuffed with gouramis

Still have tons. It's been about 24 hours since they hatched. Their egg sacs are almost gone and they have eyes now. It's amazing how quickly they develop. They are about half the size of newborn Endler fry now. Most have taken a downward position on the bottom of the tank. I have added gentle aeration and have carefully changed about half the water ( I shoved a piece of sponge in my syphon tube to prevent an accident). There were about 10 fry in my 27g this morning, so I moved then into the smaller tank too. The one or two that I may have missed are probably lunch now. I just feed then with egg yolk and a few seemed to make the effort to swim through the egg cloud. They still are spiraling more then swimming. It's hard not to worry about them eating. I know starvation is the leading cause of death amongst fry this small. I am not hoping for a 100% success rate, because there are 800 of so fry, but I would like to get a hundred or so. I have already confirmed a space for them at the LFS.
