Bad News

Here's the story: I was taking care of the a dog for a family that just moved here from Texas and they are living in a pet-free apartment. So anyway my family became connected with the dog and things seemed to be working out. Then, the dog got sick. He was vomiting and lethargic. I knew he ate recalled pet food, and told the owner, but she said he gets like that when he eats an animal he caught. So then last Friday he was REALLY sick, and the owner came and took him to the vet. Last I heard his kidneys were failing and they are giving IVs to try to flush the stuff out of the kidneys. Another bad thing is that the family has kids who will probably think I killed their dog, which I didn't. The pet food came from the owner. So, this really stinks for everyone. Please pray that the dog will survive! Thank you,

Thanks for the concern everybody, It really means alot to me.
The dog is a Jack russell terrier and is very affectionate. He was eating the recalled pet food before we even got him. The last I heard there were trying to flush out the forming crystals in his kidneys. But that was on Teusday, haven't heard from the family since.
